Setup

Install in under a minute.

1
Open the release builds page and download the DMG or ZIP once a signed build is attached. Your browser will save it to your Downloads folder.
2
Drag to Applications. Open the DMG and drag Aurora into your Applications folder. Eject the disk image when finished.
3
Launch and allow permissions. Open Aurora from Applications. macOS will ask you to grant Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions so Aurora can manage top-edge surfaces.

Having trouble opening Aurora?

Most first-launch issues are macOS security prompts or the app still sitting in Downloads. Move Aurora to Applications, then right-click and choose Open. If macOS blocks it, allow Aurora in System Settings > Privacy & Security.

72-Hour Premium Trial

Your Pro trial starts the moment you first launch Aurora. Every Pro feature is unlocked for a full 72 hours, with no credit card required. Explore widgets, writing actions, live media surfaces, and the complete customization suite.

After the Trial

After the trial ends, an active license is required to keep using Aurora. Choose Pro Monthly at €2.99/mo or Pro Lifetime at €18.99 to continue.

Upgrade to Pro

Ready for the full experience? Choose between Pro Monthly or Pro Lifetime on the Pricing page. Activation is handled inside Aurora with your purchase email and license key, and Aurora Pro can be active on up to 2 Macs per license.

Permissions

Permissions, explained.

Aurora asks only when a feature needs access. These System Settings previews show where each permission lives and what it unlocks.

Accessibility

Required for Aurora to interact with the top of your screen, manage window positioning, and provide quick-action overlays across your desktop.

Automation

Required for Aurora to control supported media apps and Google Chrome web playback when macOS asks for confirmation.

Screen Recording

Needed for live activity screenshots and screen-aware widget surfaces. Aurora never records or transmits your screen contents.

Calendar

Used only when you connect calendar features, so Aurora can show upcoming events and create new ones from the top of your screen.
