Refund policy

14 days, no questions.

If Aurora doesn't earn its keep, we'll refund you. Simple.

Last updated: 24 April 2026. This policy applies to purchases of Aurora Pro made through our website or Lemon Squeezy checkout. If Aurora is later purchased through the Mac App Store, that purchase is governed by Apple's refund process.

The short version

You can request a full refund of any Aurora Pro purchase within 14 days of the original order. You don't need to explain why. We'll refund to the original payment method, usually within a few business days.

What's covered

  • Pro Monthly — your first charge, if requested within 14 days of that charge.
  • Pro Lifetime — the full one-time payment, if requested within 14 days of purchase.
  • Renewal charges on Pro Monthly — refundable within 14 days of the renewal date if you didn't intend to renew.

What's not covered

  • Refund requests made more than 14 days after the relevant charge.
  • Future purchases made through the Mac App Store — Apple handles those directly. Use the Report a Problem link from your Apple receipt email.
  • Chargebacks filed with your bank without first contacting us. Please email us first — it's always faster.

How to request a refund

  1. Email support@auroranotch.com from the address used at checkout.
  2. Include the order number or the email used on the order. No reason required, but any feedback you'd like to share genuinely helps us improve.
  3. We'll confirm the refund by email and process it via Lemon Squeezy. Funds typically reappear on your card within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Licence after a refund

Your licence key is deactivated as part of the refund. Aurora will stop unlocking Pro on any Macs where it was activated with that key. After the 72-hour trial, an active Pro license is required to continue using Aurora.

EU consumers

If you're buying as a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period for digital goods. Our policy above matches that period, with no strings attached — whichever protections are stronger for you, those are the ones that apply. You don't need to give a reason or prove anything; just email us within 14 days and we'll refund in full.

Merchant of record

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for Aurora Pro purchases made through our website. They're responsible for the payment transaction, receipt, VAT collection, and the refund mechanism. You can also contact Lemon Squeezy support directly via the link in your receipt email.
